• Seating. Beach blankets or low-back chairs are encouraged for open grass seating, and outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed.
• Food. Concessions are back on the grounds this year according to the City's current event page, but the eight-week food-truck rotation that residents used to plan around is not part of the compressed 2026 schedule.
• Grills and pets. Barbecues and other portable cooking appliances will not be permitted, and no pets are allowed with the exception of registered service animals. This trips up first-time attendees every year.

If your household has fallen into the habit of driving straight to the park and looking for a spot on the street, the shuttle is genuinely faster on the July 1 and July 22 dates when crowds spike.

July 22 is doing double duty

The closing show is not really a closing show. It is stitched into the City's annual public-safety night. A 5:15 start from the Diamond Bar Center parking lot gets you back to your car with time to drive over to the golf-course shuttle stop.
